WITHOUT setting high expectations, the meeting arranged to face the iconic figure of South Korea, Lee Seung Gi is too sweet to remember forever. He is not random.

Lee Seung Gi, 36, recently attended the Lee Seung Gi Asia Tour 2023 event in Kuala Lumpur 'The Dreamer's Dream-chapter 2' and had time to complete an exclusive interview with RAP.

At a special invitation arranged by Viu, the session with him was quite enjoyable. From the moment she emerged into the signature session room at the EQ Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, her charms radiated.

In the entertainment arena of South Korea, Lee Seung Gi's name is no longer a household name. He is an idol, inspiration and reference for many new artists on the rise.

However, not for a single moment did he feel that he needed to be comfortable bragging.

For him, creating a reputation is not difficult, but to hold tightly to the rope of life force being in the industry is the most important task.

"When I was still a new artist on the rise, personally it was more important to maintain a reputation than to create one. Once I reached a level, I realized the importance.

"I have to make sure what the next step is that coincides with that level. Without continuous focus, at one point we may have to retreat from that position.

"Therefore, in continuing to present what else is the essence of my career at that level, I need to focus on what else I can prove," he said.

Lee Seung Gi has too many pages to reach in his career. As a child of the arts, he dreams that one day he will also be able to win a trophy commensurate with his efforts and talent on the international stage.

That became his trailblazer in the field of art. Regardless, he believes that every climb to that level should be accompanied by an effort to approach other powerful names from around the world.

"If I win a prestigious award like the Oscar, it must be the highest honor for me.

"Actually, I have an upcoming film that will be launched next year called About Family. Of course, before it is released, I will go to the Cannes film festival.

"Not just attending for fun, but I will also meet producers and other external actors. Surely that opportunity has become a very valuable opportunity for me," he said.

One thing is for sure, Lee Seung Gi refuses to put his ego first as a senior artist when new talent emerges rapidly.

He said, he was very motivated by the dumping of artists rising in one corner.

"I find the energy generated by the Gen Z group is amazing, the seriousness is too high, they have ideas beyond our minds that we all might not even think of.

"They are actually my aspiration and inspiration. So, I work internally to continuously get new inspiration, content that can reach many more fans and new artists," he said.

Without any debate, the name of this actor and singer is too iconic around the world. He is admired by millions of fans because of his magnificent career profile.

The ups and downs of his career are never-ending with constant strong support and loyal fans looking forward to whatever his latest developments are. Lee Seung Gi expressed how grateful he was to be flooded with such boundless love.

"I am always grateful from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support given by my fans. Sometimes I wonder what they see in me to be loved in such a way.

"I feel like I can't believe it and I really feel lucky. I know there are many shortcomings, but I am still supported non-stop by them," he said.

Thus, there is nothing else in his mind but to continue to present his talent in public. He has actually arranged many plans to be promoted in the future for the sake of his loyal fans.

"So, when Covid-19 has passed and now doing the Asian tour series, I am very prepared, many plans to meet fans all over the world.

"Right now, the most exciting thing for me is the latest project I'm planning with my new team. It's really hard to think about other things because you have to focus," he said.

FOLLOW THE TREND BY RELEVANT

As a senior artist, there is no reason for Lee Seung Gi to follow his own head in order to move forward.

For him, the entertainment industry always has a big transition to follow without feeling like he is in his comfort zone.

"I believe there have been significant changes in the industry. It's not just what is presented in each content, but even the entertainment industry itself.

"Because of that, I always think I'm not in my comfort zone. I'm in a position where I have to constantly evolve.

"It is extremely important for me to show what other trends are coming, something that I can show as a leader. Always follow and set certain trends," he said.

As an artist who is too busy with a tight schedule, how does Lee Seung Gi stay energetic? He revealed that he did not play sports to boost his spirits.

"Nothing in detail, but I do swimming, yoga, a lot more than sports exercise. I think it really helps to keep the daily rhythm more awake.

"For example, if there is a performance, I make sure to raise my 'mood' and physicality as a way to restore my spirit," he said.

Lee Seung Gi has been quite a phenomenon since making a name for himself over a decade ago. In addition to being an actor, he also sings and actually has his own greatness in rock ballad singing.
